About the Author
Marcin Geryk is a Professor of Management at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. For more than twenty-five years, he has combined academic reflection with hands-on experience in managing institutions of education and business. He is the founder and chancellor of two private universities, an academic teacher with extensive professional background, and the leader of numerous projects co-financed by the European Union. His initiatives have focused on enhancing students’ competences, implementing modern technologies in teaching, and improving the accessibility of higher education.
His research interests cover management in higher education, the social responsibility of universities, and innovation in education. He is the author of over one hundred scientific publications, including the books The Market of Non-Public Universities in Poland (2007) and Social Responsibility of Universities (2012). He has led major long-term research projects such as Social Responsibility of Universities in the Perception of Stakeholders (2007–2010) and the longitudinal study The Vanishing Sector: Non-Public Universities in Poland (2015–2025).
