The purpose of the study was to characterize this form of devotion as a genre in a multifaceted way, and to present the variability of this practice, particularly high over the past few decades. The focus was on Catholic discourse in Polish, although many of the insights apply to Catholicism in general. The research material includes 504 texts in Polish published from 1743 to 2024.
