The authors of the texts included in the collection Iconicity in Language, Literature and Translation, doctoral students of the Faculty of Philology at the Jagiellonian University, undertook a study of their research material (language, literature and translation) from the perspective of the category of iconicity. The conviction of the interdisciplinary nature of the analyzed phenomenon along with the complexity of the subject influence the thematic polyphony of studies presented here. As a result, it is the first publication on the Polish publishing market that treats the concept of iconicity in such a wide range of methodological and empirical aspects.
