Educational Conditions of Regional Development based on Research in Rożnowskie Lake Commune Associate
In the book after the title, the author tries to characterize nowadays educational process which reinforces regional development of rural community. Dissertation consists of the theoretical part, the methodology part, and the research part. In the theoretical part the author shows history of education in villages and issues related to regional development. Those theoretical bases allow to move to the research part, where the author tries to answer to problems of the dissertation. The main problem – “What are educational conditions of regional development of rural community?” – is complemented by specific problems connected to: social and economic development of rural community, widely understood education, strategies of development, EU funds and Internet development, good practices. Presented contents emphasize how visible rural development is. Nowadays this development is mainly economic. If we want social development to be a living process, rural societies need more changes in education – not only the “school education”, but widely understood, continuous, lifelong learning. Basing on the analysis of research results the author formulates concrete postulates for local governments. Those postulates are concerned about the reinforcement of educational initiatives in villages and thus regional development. Much of the text in the book is devoted to the leader’s role. According to the author, the existence of leaders is often a basic condition for social development of villages.
