The monograph is the result of the International Hybrid Conference entitled “Administrative Capacity (Government and Local Government) of a Member State and Candidate for the European Union”, which took place on April 20–21, 2023 in Kraków, and the scientific cooperation initiated by this event.
“The work concerns an extremely important and current issue, which is the administrative capacity of a European Union member state and the administrative capacity of a candidate state aspiring to this union of democratic European states. The book presents multilateral views on the capacity of national public administration, both in its governmental and local government dimensions, in terms of the challenges posed to public administration (of a member state and a candidate country for accession to the EU) by European law and the decentralized, networked, multilevel and partially deterritorial way of performing public tasks regulated by European and national law. The reviewed monograph is one of the few – comprehensive/complete – studies in the indicated scope”. From the review of prof. dr hab. Ewa Szewczyk
