The book presents the results of research concerning crisis management in tourist enterprises and in the case of the act of piracy. The main objective of the research is to explore the complex relations between management of a tourist enterprise in a crisis situation and organizational learning. The assumption on which the research was based is the claim that the effectiveness of management in a crisis situation depends on both the effi ciency of learning processes that result in overcoming the situation and the ability to use a crisis situation as a platform for learning. The research presented in this book is a methodological proposal for studying crisis management from the perspective of organizational learning in tourism.
