The study "Diagnosis of Labor Demand for Jagiellonian Univeraity Graduates" presents estimates of labor demand for graduates of the Jagiellonian University until 2026. This book serves as a unique source of knowledge on the labor demand for Jagiellonian University graduates, and its methodological section can be used to forecast labor demand in other academic centers. The subject matter of the book is relevant both for theorists analyzing labor demand in regional markets, as well as for labor market institutions, students, and graduates of UJ.
The study was prepared by experienced researchers from the Jagiellonian University, as a result of many years of scientific work on the current state and future of the regional labor market. From a methodological standpoint, the study notably employs various research techniques such as: labor demand forecasts based on structural models; forecasts made using Holt's method and Winters' method and forecasts based on spatial models of labor demand.
The study also features a very broad range of labor demand forecasts and a comprehensive approach to the topic. The work includes several categorizations of the working population, from the overall workforce to age groups, education levels, sections according to the Polish Classification of Activities (PKD), and economic sectors.
Thus, it is important to highlight the significant value of the book in comparison to typically published works, which usually present labor demand forecasts only in aggregate terms or within selected segments.
