The question of the functioning of information technology personnel is of high practical significance in the present-day Polish economy. This is due to the fact that the aforementioned personnel is a professional group that renders services for the benefit of the sector which generates potentially most significant developmental opportunities. The rapid technological progress is what we incessantly experience. This infallibly must result in the change of conditionings in the labour market. The present volume was devoted to the analysis of these conditionings in the period between 2006 through 2010. In the analysis the following aspects were taken into consideration: the evolution of the model responsible for high-level schooling of the information scientists and next to it: the salary that they receive and also their recruitment.
