Volume 2 of the ‘Sources for the history of patriotic education of Poles in the twentieth century’, entitled ‘Everything for the Independent Poland (1918-1939)’, contains various types of documents (memoirs, letters, lectures, articles, poems, postcards) from the interwar period. The authorship of some of them is identified, but there are also anonymous texts in this volume. All of them are grouped into 7 categories, referring to the combined two criteria: a) the chronology of events important for Poland in the interwar period, and b) the fields of activity of Poles, which the authors of the texts connect with patriotism. All the source materials presented refer in different ways to love of the homeland and patriotic education from a Catholic and conservative perspective (important in the social and political life of Poles in the interwar period), often unpopularised or underestimated today.
