Anna Turczyn, graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University. She has been professionally affiliated with the Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities since 2007. As a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University she has been working on a research project on Jacques Lacan's psychoanalysis. She obtained scholarships at Université Stendhal (Grenoble, France) and Université de Bourgogne (Dijon, France). In 2006-2009 she was granted a scholarship of Foundation for Polish Science as a part of the MISTRZ programme subsidy awarded to professor Michał Paweł Markowski. She is a co-editor of the "Hermeneia" series, a translator and a creative writer.
