The seventh volume of the critical edition of Stanisław Przybyszewski’s Dzieła literackie (Literary works) comprises the following epic texts written between 1914 and 1917, in the final years of writer’s stay in Munich: the novel Krzyk (Scream), the rhapsodic-essayistic work Tyrteusz. Z cyklu „Wojna” (Tyrtaeus. From the Cycle “War”) and three short stories from the volume Powrót (Return)—the title short story, Pojednanie (Reconciliation) and Ruchomy kamień (Moving stone). Aside from the final versions of the texts, early draft versions of the novel (Spotkanie [Meeting]) and Tyrteusz (Z cyklu „Wojna”) that were identified during textological research as variants of both works, have been included in this edition.
