Book description
The book is an analysis of the representation of Polish culture created by Ukrainian prose writers in Galicia in that time period. Ukrainian prose from the Bukovyna region was also studied and is used to provide context and an addendum. Until now, the foregoing problem has not been discussed by scholars of literature in spite of the unique Polish- Ukrainian cultural connections which functioned in that multinational Austria- Hungarian province, and which were represented in its literature.
