In Poets. Exercises in Interpretation is a collection of studies devoted to Polish and world poetry. All of them are comparative in nature, in accordance with the understanding of literary comparativism as a related philological research and enriching historical and literary perspectives strategy of reading literature - native in the international context and foreign in its connections with the native one - and in correlations with art. They include author-enriched observations on the translation and reception of 19th- and 20th-century foreign poetry in Poland.
Literary historian and comparatist, translator, Polish and Italian scholar by education, lecturer at the Department of Literary Comparatism of the Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University, member of the editorial board of the bimonthly magazine "Arcana".
