Queer Solidarity: Mobilisation, Frames and Actions of Queer Movements in Poland
Over the last three decades the Polish queer movement became one of the most evident manifestations of civil society actions after 1989 by using different strategies for self-organising. The aim of this book is to offer a sociological portrait of queer movements in Poland. The book draws on the voices and stories shared by queer activists who are engaged in both formal organizations and informal actions across various cities in Poland. The main research questions pertained to the paramount ideas which unify queer activism (master frames), the patterns of engagement in collective actions, as well as gender and class dimensions of sexual politics in the analysed movements
