The flowers painted by Tatiana Tokarczuk are cropped very close to the viewer's eyes, and thus they look as if they were scaled in natural proportions. Such a look and shot give the opportunity to see the smallest details of the flowers, stems and leaves, and to understand better their fantastic shapes, colours and forms. They are the faces of flowers, like fragments of human figures in a portrait. They are vivid, diverse and penetrate the mystery of nature. They are miracles of construction, whose principles and system of structural connections can be useful for architects and designers of various types of buildings.

Tatiana Tokarczuk-Błażusiak
Architect, academic teacher, aquarellist. She captured her love for the world of plants in an unusual lexicon titled Plants Bloom in Watercolour. The author presents in the book her watercolour works with artistic commentary and short botanical information. Etymological explanation of both Polish and Latin names of the flowers is an interesting complement to the album.
