Biography

Monika Krakowska, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Institute of Information Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Her research interests include the issue of information behaviour, as well as the specific information space in which these activities are undertaken. Her research also includes the problem of affective-cognitive and social information behaviour of humans in relation to various information environments. She publishes texts in Polish and foreign collective works and in scientific journals such as Information Research, Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, Education for Information, The Electronic Library, and Zagadnienia Informacji Naukowej. She is the co-editor of the collective work Digital Libraries (2012) and the author of the book New Forms of Social Communication in the European Educational Space (2008), for which she received the Adam Łysakowski Scientific Award of the SBP in the category of the best practical-implementation scientific works.
