The time for meetings, conversations about literature, and readers’ delights is coming – on May 28, 2026, the International Book Fair in Warsaw begins. Over the four days of the fair, at the new location at PGE Narodowy, at stand no. 4/D15 (WUJ and Bo.wiem), you will find our hottest new releases and bestsellers.
During the fair, we invite you to attend meetings where we will discuss two spring titles.
Michał Lubina, author of The Elephant and the Burmese Affair, in conversation with Agnieszka Lichnerowicz, will talk about how he traced the footsteps of Gustaw Herling-Grudziński in Myanmar (Burma), what kind of country Burma was in the time of the author of Journey to Burma, and why this forgotten diary – a highly ambiguous and controversial work – deserves a second life.
At the meeting devoted to Susan Napier’s Miyazaki: The World in Animation, Kaja Klimek (Kajutex) and Blanka K. Dżugaj will take a closer look at how Miyazaki’s personal experiences permeated his film worlds and translated into stories marked by the trauma of war, fear of the future, and deep empathy for nature.
